The Many Forms of Motivation

What Motivates Us to Act?

Motivation is the desire to act in the service of a goal. It's the crucial element in setting and attaining one's objectives—and we know from research that people can influence their own levels of motivation and self-control. Research also shows us that humans are inherently motivated to better themselves and move toward expressing their full potential.

From my experience, I know that it can be helpful to gain a better understanding of the psychology behind WHY people behave the way they do in order to better understand our own behavior.

That’s why I created the The Many Forms of Motivation Email Series.

I want to help people better understand the leading forces behind what can be motivating factors in their behaviors so that they can gain insight into what motivates THEM to make the choices they do.

Meet Andy Rolston, the Facilitator of The Many Forms of Motivation

As a sports player, I experienced many different coaching and leadership methodologies, but one in particular shifted my perspective. I was introverted and didn’t know how to spark a conversation with a stranger. At 19, I read the book “How To Win Friends and Influence People.” It inspired a passion for leadership and personal growth, similar to the one I always had while playing sport.

Today I combine that passion for sport and personal development as a Leadership Trainer I help organisations understand the individual strengths of their team players and how to bond everyone on the team. Every team starts as a group of individuals. Only the best teams become one.
I apply leadership philosophies and my own coaching experiences to create custom programs. These systems transform relationships and help individuals recognize their impact on each other and the team’s success.

Gain Insight About Motivation and Reach Your Goals!

Motivation can have many sources, and often people have multiple motives for engaging in any one behavior.

It’s been my experience that when people widen their perspective about how the human mind works, they can gain more control over the manner in which they work to manifest their own destiny.

Not only can gaining a better understanding of motivation help people decide how to best motivate themselves moving forward, but they might be able to interpret what motivational tactics have NOT worked for them in the past.

My hope is that this resource can act as a catalyst for anyone who feels stuck in their lives and is looking for a way to move forward to better things.
